A Tuesday in Boston in July

Okay, so yesterday after I wrote my post, I suddenly got really weirded out by the idea of leaving the hotel room. I don't know why, but suddenly I was afraid of humans, and I was sure I'd be laughed at for something. This was all in my head and it felt really strange. Well, once that passed, I did leave the hotel and It was a good day because of it.

I went over to the library, and I have to say, I was not that impressed. Nashville's library is more spectacularly laid out, but I suppose that's because its only like, 12 years old. This library is really old, and you could tell by how cramped it was. I'm fairly sure I didn't see what I was supposed to see, because all I saw was some stairs, some narrow corridors, a sweet courtyard in the middle, and a few books looking to be checked out by residents of the city of Boston. Big whoop. So tell me what I missed?

Anyway as I left I saw a food truck, so I got some food from it. It was a kale, garlic, squash flatbread pizza thing. pretty good, especially for $6.

Later on the whole family went and ate at a restaurant called Papa Razzi. It was tasty. Afterwards we walked up and down Newbury st, which has all these cool shops and stuff. Bethany got a tank top.

As we walked, we saw a place called Johnny Cupcakes. We both noticed that they had a cool cupcake and crossbones logo, and that was a nice design. On the back, we passed the shop again, and we both admitted we had intrigue about these cupcakes. Just as we were about to make the turn into the shop, some guy walked past us in a group and we both overheard him telling his group that three weren't any actual cupcakes in there, and without saying a word, bethany and I kept on walking past. We laughed at ourselves, because we were glad we didn't walk in there lookin like fatties lookin for cupcakes. I'm sure we wouldn't be the first. Turns out Johnny Cupcakes is a cool clothing company. Okay, good to know.

It was raining and that put the kibosh on or plan to go up to the top of the prudential tower and have a look at the city from above. That's been postponed until Thursday now. Instead, we sat around the hotel room and I drank strong beer, which got me drunk.

That all, thanks for reading. Have a good day. Going to the Red Sox game tonight. Should be a real highlight of my whole entire life.

Here's some pics.
